Established in the early 1900s by a German Duke as a coffee plantation, founders James Gibb and his wife, Margaret bought the farm after World War II and established the first accommodation facilities in the 1970s, making them the oldest guesthouse in northern Tanzania. The farm now extends over 80 acres with organic vegetables, fresh fruit, rows of coffee, abundant herbs, a flourishing farmyard, intimate cottages and forested grounds. The abundant gardens provide organic inspiration for the farm’s chefs and produce is used in an array of culinary delights.
