At Casa Turquesa Maison d’Hôtes, immerse yourself in the wonders of Paraty
Casa Turquesa Maison d’Hôtes is an intimate designer retreat in the charming seaside town of Paraty. A beautifully restored colonial townhouse, it features nine bright, breezy suites, a lush internal courtyard and a pool which retain all architectural charm of the period, artfully blended with modern comforts. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Paraty is a beautifully preserved port built by the Portuguese in the 1600s to work in harmony with the sea: each day the tidal waters flow into the town, gently cleaning its cobblestone streets.
Today, multi-coloured wooden boats line the dockside and doors and windows are painted in vivid blues, yellows and greens – all against a backdrop of lush tropical forest.
Vibrant and colourful, Paraty embodies the Brazilian party spirit; to help travellers immerse themselves in the wonders of the region, staff will arrange private boat trips to explore the Costa Verde’s pristine beaches, kayaking tours of the Mamangua fjord and treks along the ancient gold route. An extraordinary hotel in an even more extraordinary setting.
