Château de Théoule was originally a soap factory built in 1630, and at the time of the Queen of Hungary, only the Monks of Montpellier were granted the exclusive privilege of making lavender and sage-based eau de parfum known as "Les Simples". Millésime perpetuates the story through the ages, from French sovereigns to the empresses of the world, who alternated between the Basque coast in summer and the Côte d'Azurin winter.
The Château, a witness to history, has stood the test of time, from Egypt to the time of Napoleon III, and finally adopted a Scottish style in 1910, which explains its current appearance.
