Qorokwe Camp, a new star in the safari sky of Africa
Opened in late 2017, Qorokwe Camp is situated in the south-eastern Okavango Delta, where diversity of habitats support an abundance of bird and animal life.
The camp, although unapologetically contemporary in style, retains an authentic bush feel. Arranged around a beautiful lagoon frequented by hippos, the dining area, lounge, library, and bar are all raised on platforms connected by suspended walkways, and the nine spacious, tented suites are decorated in warm tones of gold, ochre, and orange that mimic their surroundings.
Besides a local pride of 15 or so lion, visitors to this region may well encounter giraffes in the dry acacia woodland, zebra roaming the floodplains, and herds of elephant and buffalo. In addition to thrilling game drives both day and night, guests can explore the tranquil waterways by canoe or by boat, take guided bush walks and learn about the heritage of the local Bayei tribes.
