The Silo, a must for design lovers at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town
Opened in 2017 as part of the Royal Portfolio, the Silo Hotel is a celebration of art, architecture, and design. Housed in a former grain silo on Cape Town’s V&A waterfront, it is one of the most exciting new five-star hotels in the city and shares the building with the equally captivating Museum of Contemporary African Art. Outwardly the greatest visible change to the structure is the addition of ingenious floor to ceiling glass windows, inserted into the geometry of the building, that ensure panoramic views on all sides.
Inside, every room, restaurant, and bar area has received the famous Liz Biden treatment, which has created a harmonious balance between the eclectic furniture, luxurious style and bold, industrial architecture.
